Kokomo School Corporation offers eleven schools plus the Kokomo Area Career Center. Focused on creating a better world through education, Kokomo offers unique programming to meet the diverse needs of all learners. Students in KSC can engage in programs such as STEM, International Baccalaureate, Integrated Arts, or the Kokomo Transformation Zone.
STEM Program
Kokomo STEM students learn to be innovative problem solvers so they can seek real-world solutions. Students work on their communication, critical thinking, collaboration, and creativity in the STEM programs at Boulevard Elementary, Elwood Haynes Elementary, Maple Crest Elementary, Maple Crest Middle, and Kokomo High School.
International Baccalaureate
The International Baccalaureate program aims to develop inquiring, knowledgeable, and caring young people who help to create a better and more peaceful world through intercultural understanding and respect. The Primary Years Programme, the Middle Years Programme, the Diploma Programme, and the Career-Related Programme are conducted at Sycamore Elementary, Lafayette Park Elementary, Central Middle, and Kokomo High School.
Transformation Zone
Bon Air Elementary, Pettit Park Elementary, and Bon Air Middle School are all a part of the Kokomo Transformation Zone. The Transformation Zone focuses on building sustainable systems for the academic and holistic growth of both students and educators in Kokomo School Corporation. The TZ’s focus on a standards-referenced and competency-based education has allowed our students to demonstrate great academic growth.
Integrated Arts
Students’ Integrated Arts journey begins at Wallace Elementary and continues through middle and high school. Art integration is an approach to teaching in which students construct and demonstrate academic understanding through an art form. Students who attend Central Middle School and Kokomo High School can remain on the Integrated Arts track, building upon the skills they learn in their early years.
